Job Summary:
Provide credit underwriting and portfolio maintenance supporting Business Banking in the extension of credit. Work closely with the Team Leader or Senior Credit Executive to structure transactions and assess risks along with the collaboration of the Relationship Managers. Play an integral role in ensuring data integrity of the portfolio and establishing appropriate risk.

Major Responsibilities:
60%: Manage a portfolio of credits including the underwriting of new and renewed loans for borrowers and credit structured for Business Banking Market. This may also include borrowers with higher risk profiles. Ensure that portfolio management is consistent with Bank's current policies and practices. Interface with Regional Vice Presidents, Relationship Managers and Credit Administration to ensure credits fit within Bank's credit risk appetite. Maintain regular contact with Relationship Managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
30%: Effectively manage and monitor risks of the portfolio including appropriate risk grading. Prepare quarterly PLR/Watch Reports. Track, report and communicate portfolio trends, including trends in criticized/classified and Watch List credits. Demonstrates knowledge of and is sensitive to the current regulatory environment; adheres to the Bank's Risk Vision, and risk management policies and programs; recognizes and proactively addresses risk (including but not limited to those associated with Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering, consumer compliance, fair lending, fiduciary responsibilities, and privacy); identifies and appropriately manages risk. Participate in the ongoing Quality Control process. Responsible for data integrity of the portfolio.
10%: Assist in the coaching and training of Credit Associates and Credit Executives. Participate in special projects and task forces as needed.

Additional Information:
Strong verbal and written skills. Excellent credit skills. Effective interpersonal skills.
Typically requires a BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience, plus up to 10 years of technical experience.
