Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Community Banking Marketing, the Marketing Relationship Manager II (Customer Acquisition Marketing Manager - AMM) is charged with developing and driving programs designed to increase the Union bank consumer base. Responsible for leveraging all marketing vehicles in support of acquiring new customers. The AMM will also help drive the Union Bank consumer brand.Management or Supervision: 1-3 employeesMajor Responsibilities:
50%: Acquisition Strategy Development - Develop the marketing acquisition strategy and annual calendar of initiatives required to meet the Community Bank aggressive performance goals.
Lead the creation of strategies that leverage a rich integrated mix of media and tactics including mass advertising, online, direct, and branch marketing.
Develop a differentiated sustainable market position for Union Bank, based on leveraging Union Bank's core strengths.
Serve as the Primary point of contact for the senior branch leadership in California (Market Presidents).
Work with Product Management on the development of market-differentiating offerings.
Perform market research to have a pulse on the UB customer, industry trends and competitive customer.
Utilize reporting, analytics and key financial metrics to support decision making.
40%: Acquisition Strategy Implementation:
Lead the major Community Bank marketing acquisition initiatives, including being personally active in the details.
Partner with the branch sales team to support customer acquisition at the local level.
Develop effective and innovative consumer platforms that enhance Union Bank's visibility and brand reputation.
Oversee marketing programs that drive the brand at a local level.
Collaborate with external business partners as well as the bank's internal Marketing shared services "Centers of Excellence" to deliver best-in-class solutions which maximize ROI on the marketing investment.
Establish close and strategic advisory relationships with the members of the product and channel management teams, including the determination of go-to-market products and offers.
10%: Other - Manage a marketing budget in order to maximize ROIdditional Information:
Understanding of consumer segmentation strategies to drive targeted marketing efforts. Proven record of success in developing, championing, and stewarding fully integrated marketing programs.
Experience in mass advertising, media, and working with internal marketing support teams and marketing agencies. Proven track record in the ability to build upon and strengthen brand-building strategies. A strong balance of strategic and business skills, with a high level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought. Balanced leadership style that allows for both highly strategic leadership skills with the ability to be hands-on and lead by example.Powerful communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to convey an inspiring message to large groups as well as one-on-one settings. A true team player participating on a high quality team of experienced professionals. Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, ability to understand how to use data to guide decisions. Strong organizational and cross-functional project management experience. Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spiritTypically requires a Bachelor's degree; M.B.A. preferred. Experience in mass advertising, media, and working with marketing agencies. Twelve or more years of marketing experience; financial services marketing experience a plus. Experienced people, project and organizational manager.
