The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Position Summary:

The MUFG Bank Structured Finance team is seeking a Lease Accountant to support Originations servicing activities in reviewing lease documentation, providing support for current transactions, and maintaining appropriate documentation for reporting and auditing. The role will be responsible for processing accounting entries and reports for daily and monthly processing. Preparing reports and analysis required for internal and external reporting requirements for financial statements, managerial evaluation, and regulatory compliance. Providing operational support for various compliance and operational activities, including audit and regulatory requirements.

Major responsibilities:

  • Compile documentation and evidential support for accounting entries for book and tax

  • Process and track transaction funding requirements and collection of ongoing payments

  • Maintain and compile data for subsidiary ledgers for portfolio of complex lease

  • Compile information to support managerial and regulatory reporting

  • Reconcile various balance sheet and income statement accounts and provide analytical reviews of variations

Job requirements:

  • Accounting B.A. or B.S. required (or a Business Administration degree with concentration in accounting coursework)

  • A minimum of 1+ years accounting / Accountant work experience. Work experience within a financial services Leasing business unit will be a decisive asset

  • The ability to work in teams and support clients

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Knowledge of accounting software (Peoplesoft or Oracle is a plus)

  • Operational background beneficial (but not required) and leasing experience a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is $95-$115k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
