Job Summary:
Reporting to SVP Retail Deposit Products and Payments, the Sr Group Debit Card Product Manager is responsible for the leadership and direction of Debit Card and consumer Payments activities for the organization. Responsible for setting overall direction of the debit card business. Leads the formation and execution of the product strategy and has cross-functional responsibility for the Debit Card business. This individual has ultimate responsibility for ensuring the profitability and quality of the debit card portfolio.
Represents the company with external peer organizations and industry associations.

Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for setting the overall direction of the debit card business including the product strategy, analysis of competitive and market forces; assessment of the regulatory environment, pricing, and operational effectiveness of the debit card business and socialization of the strategy across the bank. Works closely with Retail Banking executive management, Branch Banking, Operations, Fraud Management, Compliance, Legal, and other product areas in the organization.
Responsible for the execution and ongoing management of the debit card business. Leads the development and execution of strategic product and program plans in support of business strategy, and deliver towards key metrics. Manages and leverage a cross-functional team in an ongoing process of critical assessment and continual improvement of product features and functionality, policies and procedures, risk management programs, fraud mitigation, customer communications, as well as internal training related to these programs.
Leads and collaborates with operations, technology services, fraud and risk management, finance, compliance, legal, marketing and sales management to ensure that product performance meets corporate objectives and adheres to regulatory guidance. Directly manages the vendors that support the debit card business line.
Plays a key role in managing the IT systems development of new and enhancement of existing products.
Analyze and evaluate new concepts and determine feasibility and market potential. Coordinate the research effort by determining market segments. Advice management of potential new product capabilities through preparation of strategy presentations or papers which define markets, product design, profitability, marketing costs, alternative systems, operating expenditures and capitalization.
Responsible for both long and short term Debit Card business planning. Works closely with Retail Deposit Portfolio Management in planning, forecasting, measuring and tracking financial performance.
Understands industry players, broader competitive environment, and new and existing products and service solutions offered to the industry. Oversees development of, maintenance of, and updates of competitive analysis data as it relates to product, pricing and sales strategies.

Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Debit Card management in a financial services organization. Requires work experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives and working with cross functional teams to achieve corporate objectives. BA is required; MBA is a plus.
