The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Position Summary:

MUFG is seeking an Associate to join the Securitized Products Group to lead origination and execution of warehouse and term ABS issuance transactions in off the run asset classes. MUFG is a market leader in securitized products and providing innovative financing solutions to address client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new opportunities in both lending and capital market transactions

  • Develop strong relationships with existing and new clients

  • Lead the deal team in origination and execution of transactions, including idea generation, analysis and execution

  • Mentor and develop junior members of the team

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including credit risk, syndicate, sales and trading teams and with third parties such as legal counsel, accountants, rating agencies and investors to execute transactions

  • Coordinate with teams across the bank on cross sale opportunities and develop new asset classes and clients

We require:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher

  • A minimum of 2 years related ABS work experience

  • Experience leading deal teams in left lead roles in ABS transactions

  • Strong industry knowledge and relationships with issuers and investors in non-flow asset classes

  • Detailed understanding of transaction structures, including legal and analytical details

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and highly collaborative

  • Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability

  • Strong decision-making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgment

  • A creative and innovative approach to work

The typical base pay range for this role is between $175K - $200K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
