MUFG Director, Credit Research Analyst-Energy & Utilities in New York, New York

The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
Responsibilities:
• Provide relevant credit updates and insight to trading, sales and investor clients on Energy and Utility credits with focus on issuers where MUFG is a significant lender and/or underwriter.
• Meet with investor clients to share views, themes and trade ideas related to the energy and utility sectors.
• Use industry expertise along with credit insight and relative value to provide trade recommendations to the trading desk and investor clients.
• Understand valuations across capital structures and use DCF models, covenant analysis and relative value to drive credit views.
• Help risk manage desk's trading inventory to maximize profits and minimize losses
• Work with IG and Leveraged Finance Capital Markets desks to educate investors and sales forces on crossover new issues, roadshows and other investor interaction
Qualifications:
• 10 plus years of experience as an IG Desk Analyst on a trading desk
• Bachelor's degree and/or Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, and Economics
• CFA preferred
• Knowledge in and experience covering credits in the energy and utilities
The typical base pay range for this role is between $250K - $300K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
