Title: Lead Processing Clerk
Location: NEW YORK-VALLEY COTTAGE
Located in our Valley Cottage, NY office, the Remittance III will act as a Lead directing the work of 3-4 team members within the Production unit. This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week 9:00pm - 5:30am/Sunday night through Friday morning. Salary for this position is $14.00 - $15.50/hour based on skills and experience.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision, the Remittance Specialist III will ensure that remitted customer transactions are processed according to defined customer instructions. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Perform duties on automated system to complete deposit notification
* Monitor quality of work of other employees
* Process daily work on complex accounts
* Operate the image system and other PC equipment for the purpose of processing customer deposits by inputting, editing, capturing, and balancing transactions
* Perform all data entry functions and utilize a low speed document processing device for capturing and encoding transactions
* Inspect the quality of the work processed
* Provide prompt and courteous service to other departments as needed

This position is for 3rd shift and requires someone that can work an over night schedule from 9pm - 5:30am Sunday through Friday morning. Minimum requirements for this position include a High school diploma or G.E.D. and 10-key by touch. Additional requirements include, but not limited to:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
* Experiencing providing work direction to peers
* Keen attention to detail with the ability to meet strict time constraints
* Ability to meet and maintain established performance and production standards
* Understand how to determine check negotiability
* Good reasoning and analytical skills
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Must be able to work additional hours during peak period
* Proven understanding of balance techniques is preferred
* 3-5 years of remittance processing experience is preferred
