Job Summary:

Major Responsibilities:
Under guidance and direction from the Branch Manager:
35% - Operations
Assist in overseeing the operation of the branch. Ensure that operating procedures are being followed. Provide technical work guidance and training to branch staff on operating procedures. Address the handling of problems, exceptions, and account adjustments. Approve or disapprove transactions within assigned signing authority limit. Ensure that operating losses are minimized by adhering to policies and procedures of the bank. Assist in monitoring and controlling personnel and operating expenses. Review and assist the manager in the communications of policy/regulation changes. Perform the role of office Security Coordinator.  Review and approve Scheduler 360 work schedules.
Provide customer service to clients. Review reports, analyze branch/customer activity, and resolve errors or adjustments. Ensure that customer problems and complaints are handled professionally and effectively; contact customer to resolve issue as necessary. Responsible for acting as a liaison to other support areas of the Bank to resolve customer issues. 
25% Branch Management 
Assist Branch Manager with running of office including the overall operating efficiency of the Branch, coach the sales and service staff, ensuring staff deliver a consistent branch customer experience. Provide guidance and training to branch personnel as necessary to perform their job effectively, both technically and with a high degree of product knowledge. Provide cross-training opportunity and direction for the skill and career development of subordinates. Encourage attendance and participation in the bank's training programs and teller certification programs. Identify training needs to the manager and provide coaching on product knowledge/customer service/operational training, etc. to branch staff to maximize their job effectiveness. 
25% - Platform Sales
Maximize sales growth by developing and participating in customer retention program. Make customer retention and business development calls regularly, both in person and/or by telephone contact. Promote sales by demonstrating leadership and modeling the sales culture. Recognize and act on opportunities to sell other bank products, as appropriate, and assist Branch Manager in ensuring staff also recognize opportunities. Maximize market share and represent the Bank by participating in local community activities.
15% - Risk Management/Compliance
Assist the Branch Manager in the mitigation of risk situations to the Bank. Assist in ensuring staff compliance with all regulatory requirements. Provides guidance and training to branch personnel on operating risk issues and handling of exceptions and adjustments. Ensures that the office is operating in a safe and effective manner.
Perform miscellaneous duties as may be assigned.


Requires 3-5 years of significant and direct work experience related to branch banking operations and sales. Requires strong sales and service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and clients. Working experience with compliance regulations. Thorough knowledge of banking practices including product and services, including any specialty areas assigned such as Priority or Cash and Save. Ability to lead and train staff and assist the manager in running the branch and coaching staff. Demonstrated past success in a sales capacity.

Cultivates referral relationships with Union Bank branches to grow loan origination volumes.

Job Summary:
Develop new and existing business and consumer banking relationships by proactively soliciting new business from prospective clients and by contacting present clients to retain and expand banking relationships, to meet or exceed assigned monthly goals.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop new business by researching and analyzing community markets, analyzing and prioritizing clients to target, planning and executing business development strategies and calling on existing and potential clients, whether in person or over the phone.

Proactively assess clients' financial information by profiling to determine total current and future financial needs. Summarize and present action plan to discuss the appropriate product and service options. Recommend, present and sell appropriate products and services in accordance with established action plan.

Interview loan applicants to elicit information, determine appropriate structure of loans, cross-sell opportunities, communicate decisions or recommendations, obtain and/or send proper documentation and to resolve related customer issues.

Refer clients as necessary to the appropriate banker or department to cross-sell additional services or products in accordance with established profile action plan.

Meet or exceed assigned sales activity goals by executing the recommended sales and service tools and techniques of the Extreme Sales &amp; Service process.

Proactively contact and consult with clients on a regular basis to update profiles and to educate clients on changes in the financial industry that would affect them and the products and services they currently use.

Proactively solicit and obtain referrals from existing clients, internal departments and community contacts.

Conduct monthly in-house products/services seminars for branch employees and coordinate seminars for bank clients.

Perform the Merchandising and Marketing activities as required including functions such as: leadership support in promotional campaigns; product/service training sessions; lobby merchandising materials display

Typically requires 3 years experience in banking sales and operations.

Manages a team of Relationship Managers. Emphasis is on developing new corporate relationships. Responsible for maintenance and development of the existing portfolio of corporate customers. Job Summary:

Responsible for all management of activities in a branch office. Manage staff to achieve the mission, vision, and values of the Bank, along with Bank strategic objectives and Branch specific sales and profitability goals. Ensures adherence to Bank policy and procedures by all Branch personnel.

Branch Management: 40%
Manages branch as a profit center. Maintains branch at approved expenditure levels. Reviews, controls and reports on general ledger activity. Establishes the plan and strategy to acquire, retain, and expand the branch's customer base and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for staff.  Develops sales and revenue generating programs. Responsible for coaching and ensuring the performance of sales staff, as well as for the attainment of sales targets. Trains employees on sales techniques. Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets and acquire new customers. Prepares action plans for individuals and branch teams (if appropriate) for effective search of sales leads and prospects. Conducts routine meetings, including one-on-one reviews, with all sales and service staff to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of skill sets and activity performance. Maintains and monitors production or sales records for use in supervision. Assists sales staff in preparation of proposals and presentations. Maintains detailed knowledge of the company's products or services. Keeps abreast of evolving industry and competitive practices. 

Risk Management/Compliance: 20%
Ensures that operating procedures are being followed. Provides guidance and training to branch personnel on operating risk issues and handling of exceptions and adjustments
Performs function of branch safety and security officer. Ensures that the office is operating in a safe and effective manner.
Implements and enforces company polices including waste and thief prevention.

Branch Manager grading level is based on points in loans and deposits.

Minimum Job Requirements:
The branch manager position requires 5 to 7 years of financial services experience, with an emphasis in the management of staff for sales production for both consumer and small business lending. Requires previous supervisory, administrative and analytical skills

Job Summary:

Job Summary:
The teller position is the main point of contact to service customer transactions in the branch. The teller position has a high degree of interactions with customers and provides a high level of customer service by responding to customer inquiries, processing customer requests, resolving customer issues or referring them to an appropriate party within the branch, and making sales referrals.

Major Responsibilities:
Customer Service Transactions (70%)

Under general supervision, provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries. Assist the customer with retail transactions. Sales Referrals (15%)

Coordinate the day to day functions and requirements of the staff. Job Summary:

Sales Management Activities: 40%
Translates Bank strategic sales objectives into specific branch activities. Responsible for behavioral based coaching, as well as the development and performance of all sales activities at the branch. Directs and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes the plan and strategy to acquire, retain, and expand the branch's customer base and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for staff.  Develops sales and revenue generating programs. Responsible for coaching and ensuring the performance of sales staff, as well as for the attainment of sales targets. Trains employees on sales techniques. Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets and acquire new customers. Prepares action plans for individuals and branch teams (if appropriate) for effective search of sales leads and prospects. Conducts routine meetings, including one-on-one reviews, with all sales and service staff to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of skill sets and activity performance. Maintains and monitors production or sales records for use in supervision. Assists sales staff in preparation of proposals and presentations. Maintains detailed knowledge of the company's products or services. Keeps abreast of evolving industry and competitive practices. 

Risk Management/Compliance: 20%
Ensures that operating procedures are being followed. Provides guidance and training to branch personnel on operating risk issues and handling of exceptions and adjustments
Performs function of branch safety and security officer. Ensures that the office is operating in a safe and effective manner.
Implements and enforces company polices including waste and thief prevention.

Branch Manager grading level is based on points in loans and deposits.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Manages the prospecting and sales effort of an assigned General Markets portfolio through referrals or self-sourced opportunities. Directly responsible for the solicitation of targeted prospects, and the retention of profitable clients. Certification that all related forms such as Customer Identification Program (CIP), Know Your Customers (KYC), Suspicious Activity Reports (SARS), Currency and Transaction Reporting (CTR), etc. and verify related tasks are completed within assigned time periods. Actively participate in any required corporate and business line Compliance Training.  Follow account opening procedures and understand and follow internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Proactively contact and consult with clients on a regular basis to update profiles and to educate clients on changes in the financial industry that would affect them and the products and services they currently use.

Proactively solicit and obtain referrals from existing clients, internal departments and community contacts.

Conduct monthly in-house products/services seminars for branch employees and coordinate seminars for bank clients.

Perform the Merchandising and Marketing activities as required including functions such as: leadership support in promotional campaigns; product/service training sessions; lobby merchandising materials display

Typically requires 3 years experience in banking sales and operations.

Requires working knowledge of all financial service products and services. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to operate PC, Windows, Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.

Job Summary: 
Develops and services comprehensive personal financial relationships within affluent target market through a professional sales effort. Identifies qualified potential clients. Initiates contacts, assesses needs, presents array of products and services, and closes sales. Responsible for the management and total servicing of the client relationship, and for the growth and profitability of routine to complex and profitable relationships in the unit. Proactively advises and consults with clients to maximize their service usage, trust and investment opportunities, and monitors client portfolio to ensure profitability. Responsible for analyzing clients' credit needs and then making appropriate recommendations. This is a moderate to experienced level Relationship Manager whose clients expect their banker to provide high quality financial information and personal service.

Major Responsibilities:
Business Development and Marketing (50%) -
Develop marketing and sales strategies to establish profitable portfolio, using external and internal resources.
Implement the program for Enterprise Selling program within the target area through an annual marketing plan and strategy, tailored to region locale and consistent with overall direction of The Private Bank. 
Plan/strategy to expand the portfolio and ensure retention of profitable clients. 
Detail specific actions to cross-sell, establish referral program to develop new client business, and increase non-interest income to office. The plan should include how results can be measured.
Identify clients for The Private Bank through research and use of resources, including referrals from within and outside the Bank, office's current client base, local professional/service groups, social contacts, etc.
Meet with prospects as needed, often outside the office to present the program of The Private Bank. Proactively identify the needs of the prospects, matching appropriate Bank products and Services.
Represent the Bank and The Private Bank in the community by becoming active in professional and community groups. May speak or make presentations to groups made up of potential clients to increase program visibility and identify contacts. 
Document results through prospect tracking.

Engage in regularly scheduled portfolio performance review with Regional Director to assess performance against set goals. Meet or exceed these goals.

Relationship and Portfolio Management (30%) -
Act as consultative banker, anticipating needs relative to affluent market segment to ensure maximum profitability and cross-sell opportunities are met.
Maintain client portfolio with assistance from Banking Associate. Adjust portfolio size to accommodate the demands of servicing prime clients. Criteria to be set by Regional Director, with input from Senior Management. Stand accountable for portfolio growth and profitability, as well as any attrition.
Using RBS reports and available pricing models, monitor each client's account profitability and service use. Proficiency with and maintenance of customer data in ESB is required. Consult with clients as to various services or product needs which would be advantageous for them and keep them aware of new products and of changes in the financial area which would affect them. Regularly introduce clients to other areas of the Bank for special needs.
Respond to problems clients may experience with the handling of their account and ensure proper handling of service requests.
Ensure accurate and complete records are kept for each client relationship.
Develop relationship banking through a consultative approach. Based upon clients' needs, provide various options considering tax implications, estate planning, risk tolerance levels and refer to appropriate specialists as needed.
Segment portfolio through profitability and tiers to maximize efficiency

Risk Management: (20%) -
Analyze and respond to the needs of the affluent client, balancing risk and opportunity.
Analyze client's personal credit needs and requests. Qualify borrower, recommend best suited loan product commensurate with Bank's desired profit margin and the value of the clients total relationship.
Prepare detailed memorandum of customer request and Relationship Manager recommendation.
Determine the loan structure best suited for the client within the credit requirements for the Bank. Negotiate with the client to reach terms which will accommodate their needs and be profitable to the Bank. Make recommendations to senior officers of the Bank on loans which exceed designated loan authority.
Monitor and manage portfolio to assess and minimize risk as it relates to credit and follow up with appropriate measures adhering to Bank's policy and guidelines.

Additional Information:
Experience in a team based partnering oriented model with individual accountability, with a track record of successful sales. Strong negotiating skills and client facing presence. Ability to engage clients in their investments strategy to obtain a "win" opportunity. Ability to identify client needs and related bank services; sells the concept of relationship banking. Ability to prospect, anticipate needs and close sales. Communicate effectively with clients of varying levels of business or financial sophistication. Ability to work with other teams and as a team member. College degree required with an expected exceptional level of professional experience and training. Series 7, 66, (63&amp; 65) and Life and Health Licensed. Certified Financial Planner strongly preferred; MBA or CFA beneficial. Proficient knowledge of computer skills.
